I have an application with an I/O Integer tag from a SLC505 via DASABTCP. Periodically, when the application starts up, the tag's value goes to '0'. The tag has a non-zero initial value, I've cross-referenced the Intouch programs to make sure there's nothing writing to the tag on start-up.

The system is setup with a primary & failover node. The problem doesn't seem to be specific to either.

Any Ideas?

I have seen this issue occur in a different setup; however, it might have the same cause. It might either be an issue with the Data Collection or Display Cashe. Two thing to check would be the Refresh of the Data Collection, and whether the Value is set to fail to a 'Zero' Value or Previous Value. The Second possibility would be the speed at which the HMI Display is set to refresh and whether you have the ability to Cache the information.

It can occasionally be associated with a Network BottleNeck where your HMI refreshes faster than your Data can be Displayed. These issues might not apply to your problem, but hopefully this helps.
