I have an HMI program that requires a lanuage file to be on a memory card in the back of an Allen-Bradley Colour PanelView 600. What kind of memory card do I need to use?

You can use a PCMCIA Compact Flash reader and insert that into the back on the PanelView. Transfer the .otf font onto a typical Compact Flash card in the root directory of the CF card. Insert the CF card into the PCMCIA Compact Flash reader and the PanelView will have access to the language file. If this does not work, the CF card may be too new/large for the PanelView to recognize, so you may need to find an older/smaller CF card.

Allen Bradley actually sells a "Allen Bradley" Compact Flash Card that is approximately 64 MBs; however, we have been successful in using a standard SanDisk or Cisco Systems 64 MB Compact Flash Card (1/8 of the Cost...). The new Firmware Panelviews (Version 5 I believe) will access 1 GB up to 2 GB; however, most standard PanelView Plus Hardware as well as CompactLogix will max out at about 256 MB. You can easily find a 64 MB Compact Flash Card at any online Retailer.
