What is the secret to using the AutoTune Feature in RSLogix 5000?

Every time I try and run an auto tune it errors. What do I have to do to get the auto tune to work? I have an L62 controller connected over sercos to a Kinetix 6000 drive

This isn't a trick question, if you absolutely had to do an auto tune can someone answer what conditions are needed to do so? As an aside, for the most part, tuning is not even required when dealing with newer drives and motors, they are already matched, and the drive can read and identify what motor is actually present.
