Siemens S7-300 CP343 OBs Required?

2	Are there specific OBs REQUIRED when installing a CP343-1(Lean)? i.e. if the OBs do not exist and a fault occurs on the CP, does the processor go to a faulted state? siemens asked Jan 04 '10 at 14:24 temp 21●1

Short answer ... the OBs are not required; however they should be added in.

I would add OB82, 86, and 87 to ensure that no matter how you configure the module the processor does not into a faulted stat if you get a comm fault.

For that matter I would generally add these blocks along with OB121 and 122 to all projects as I rarely want my processor going into stop mode when a fault occurs (That's my preference though).
