I have an Ultra Drive (2098-DSD-HV030 ) connected to an MPL-A330 motor. It is direct coupled to a small turntable. No matter how I tune it, I can't get it to stop oscillating. Any ideas?

Add a gear box... Direct coupling a motor to an item with a large moment of inertia is a bad idea...

Since the motor was direct coupled to the turntable, the motor was operating at a very low speed. A servo wants to operate closer to its highest speed, and it can be more responsive within a published window. Check the AB Motion Control Selection guide for optimal drive/motor configurations. Putting a 100:1 gear box in the middle removed the problem!
